They provide a game ranch directory, contacts for buying and selling exotic wildlife, marketing contacts, and are in the process of developing a hunting directory. Several programs are currently in operation including EQUIP, CRP, TAP, LAP, NAP, and loan programs. In the Edwards Plateau, research is focused on range issues such as forage production, brush control, rangeland ecology, hydrology, prescribed burning, and agricultural economics. TFS administers the Oak Wilt Suppression Project that can offer cost-shares to qualified landowners in most Central Texas counties. Experts are available to assist in the preparation of detailed wildlife management plans. This agency traps and removes animals in both urban and rural settings.
