Texas including bison herds at Cap Rock State Park & LBJ State Park. Meet
Texas bison producers & hear about the present & future direction of the
Texas bison industry. See 1800's Texas Living History area; cowboy music &

SCHOLARSHIP Deadline: The Hill Country Cattlewomen will again
award scholarships to college-level juniors with 60 accumulated hours or more
and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Two or more scholarships will be
awarded to an agriculture or dietary nutrition related major. Additional
scholarships are open to any other major. Applicants must be a resident of one
of the following counties: Bandera, Blanco, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr,
Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Northern Bexar, Real or San
Saba. In 2007, Hill Country Cattlewomen awarded 15 scholarships,
totaling $22,200. Dependent on the success of fundraising efforts by
dedicated members, we anticipate a like amount will be available for
scholarships this year. Interested students should send requests for
an application to Sandy Kuykendall at P.O. Box 68, Cherokee, TX 76832, or
email sandykuykendall@yahoo.com. The deadline for completed
applications is June 1, 2008. Winners will be announced at the June 2008
meeting of the Hill Country Cattlewomen.

At Westcave Preserve. Learn how to teach young people about aquatic
ecology and aquatic wildlife using fun, hands-on
educational activities. During the six-hour training workshop participants will
sample activities and receive a curriculum and activity guide. Activities are
adaptable for all grade levels, integrated with core subject curricula and
aligned to the TEKS. Teachers, informal educators and youth group leaders may
