The Blanco County CPFA Board consists of 8 current members. Our Board is accepting applications. However, a screening as well as background check must be completed before the application is submitted to Commissioner’s Court for acceptance. A maximum of 15 members are allowed to be on our Board.

Meetings include speaking with a representative of the Texas Department of Family Services each month to get reports on our Blanco County children previously removed from their homes and in conservatorship of the State of Texas.  Guests are welcome to attend all open sessions of the meetings.

Some of the accomplishments for the past 12 months have been as follows:

1.      Each of our Blanco County children in conservatorship was given Christmas presents that were purchased for them individually.

2.      Special needs for various children were paid for through us.

3.      Gift cards to McDonalds, Sonic, etc. were mailed out at special times of the year such as Easter, Valentines Day, Halloween, etc. along with
occasion cards signed by all members of the board. This is to make sure the children know that there is always someone in Blanco County
   looking out for them.

4.      Special summer activities were offered to all children in foster care, such as summer camp, dance team uniforms and camp, swimming lessons
   and season swimming passes .

5.      Each child is sent a birthday card signed by all Board members along with either a check or gift card.

6.      We help with special activities for school such as uniforms for sports, dance team, and school supplies.

We receive an annual amount from our County’s funds, as well as donations, which are tax deductible.

Tax deductible donations may be sent to: Blanco County Child Protection & Family Advocacy Board, PO Box 213, Johnson City TX 78636.
